LORD’S FOOD VILLAGE WINS ‘BEST PROJECT DEVELOPMENT’
We’re delighted to share that the Food Village at Lord’s Cricket Ground, developed in partnership with Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC), has won the ‘Best New Development’ award at the ECB’s Business of Cricket Awards.
The innovative two-tier structure features 20 self-service kiosks and a semi-outdoor bar with views over the Nursery Ground. Designed by our team to enhance the matchday experience, the Food Village offers high-quality grab-and-go options, cutting queue times by half compared to previous Test Matches, and giving fans more time to enjoy the cricket.
James De Groot, MCC’s Chief Food & Beverage Officer, said: “Our primary objective is to make sure that visiting spectators have a world-class matchday experience when they come to Lord’s, which is why we opted to work with Freemans Event Partners to develop the Food Village.
We are honoured that our innovation has been recognised so soon after opening for the start of this year’s cricketing summer, and we look forward to continuing to work with Freemans Event Partners to develop what we have to offer at Lord’s Cricket Ground. This recognition is a testament to the wider team’s effort and the support from Marylebone Cricket Club throughout the project.”

ELEVATING F&B AT THE AUTUMN INTERNATIONALS

With customer experience at the forefront, our state-of-the-art high-volume bars featured the latest fast-pour technology and dynamic digital screens, reducing queue times and ensuring efficient transactions powered by FEP PAY. By seamlessly integrating diverse offerings with cutting-edge technology, we delivered a seamless customer journey.
To further engage fans, we partnered with both venues to create tailored social media and website content, highlighting the wide range of food and drink options. Additional touchpoints delivered by our team included food & drink maps and bespoke customer-facing screen content.
BRINGING COSTA COFFEE TO LIVE EVENTS
We’re excited to announce the launch of our new fleet of Costa Coffee live event outlets, bringing the nation’s favourite coffee to our calendar of 650+ event days and beyond. Following the success of the Paris 2024 Olympic activation, these branded outlets built by our team will deliver hand-crafted barista favourites, enhancing fan experiences while driving footfall and increasing ATVs. Wrapped in Costa Coffee’s signature branding, these outlets offer consistent quality and a premium feel that consumers recognise and trust.
Building on this success, we’re rolling out Costa Coffee In Cup solutions across our outlets. After a trial that saw a 30% uplift in sales volumes and excellent customer feedback, this premium hot beverage option will officially launch in the new year. With popular options like latte, cappuccino, and americano, the In Cup solution ensures a high-quality, consistent beverage experience for all eventgoers.
