The Major League Baseball (MLB) World Tour London Series is returning to the London Stadium next month (8th-9th June), with the Philadelphia Phillies taking on the New York Mets.
Alongside the action out on the field, the event provides an authentic American fan experience for UK and global sports fans, boasting a custom-made all-American food and drink menu for ball game goers.
Created by London Stadium’s food and drink partners, Freemans Event Partners and Delaware North, the menu features dishes synonymous with both Philadelphia and New York.
The Philies’ Fan Zone will be home to the Phanatic Phried Chicken outlet serving dishes including the Classic American – a waffle cone loaded with southern-fried chicken tenders, creamy mac and cheese, hot sauce and BBQ sauce. While Broad Street Burgers will be serving up the Homer Burger – iced doughnut bun, double 100% beef patty, American cheese, smoked bacon, lettuce, onions, pickles and baconnaise.
Meanwhile, the Philadelphian classic gameday staple – the Philly Cheese Steak Sub, featuring marinated steak and caramelised onions, topped with American cheese – will available in the main concourse from the American Street Food outlet.
Over in the Mets Fan Zone, the Empire State Burger and Shea Fried Chicken outlets will be serving up classic burger and hot dog options. The Bacon Cheeseburger features a 100% beef patty topped with streaky bacon, American cheese, crispy onions and tangy pickles; while the Loaded Hot Dogs are made up of a premium pork sausage, BBQ pulled pork, crispy onions, pickles, American mustard in a brioche roll.
Of course, given the event is taking place in London, there will be a wealth of classic British street food options available, including the Batter Up Fish & Chips outlet that will be serving up classic chip shop favourites.
