ROLE OVERVIEW

Plan, manage and oversee the operation and event delivery for Freemans Event Partners; ensuring we deliver a first-class service to the customer and client whilst maximising the profitability of the event through detailed & effective planning, coordination, communication, and the continuous development of our people.

 

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working closely with Delaware North, the Head of Operations and the senior team at Freemans Event Partners to deliver a first-class food and beverage service.
  • Manage the full Food & Beverage operation ahead and during match day and other events such as concerts.
  • Implement and communicate the Operational policies, processes and procedures to ensure the team meet the expected standards and are always fully compliable.
  • Plan all event requirements and liaise with your Finance business partner to ensure accurate forecasts & budgets are met and costs are controlled
  • Liaise with the wider Freemans team to ensure sufficient notice is provided to fulfil all event requirements, i.e., Staffing, Stock, outlet movements, Marketing, Brands, Tech, Finance etc.
  • Ensuring all financial information is gathered post event and work closely with your financial business partner to ensure all costs are captured.
  • Liaise with the Stock and Logistics Manager to ensure sufficient stock provisions are available for upcoming events and ensure the stock process is understood and adhered to by the wider Operations team.
  • Able to Liaise with the Marketing and Brand teams to ensure all brand partner promotions and brand guidelines are inline and address any possible changes.
  • Establish, implement and develop divisional standards, policies, processes and measures to ensure performance meets the needs of clients, partners and the Group.
  • Ensure all Health & Safety regulations are communicated and always adhered by all event personnel, updating any policies and practices when necessary and taking the required action when these are not followed.
  • Lead and communicate a detailed analysis, post-event, against forecasts to identify areas of underperformance and/or inaccurate forecasting, and make recommendations for improvement where appropriate.
  • To assist in any other areas of the business when needed to ensure Freemans Event Partners and always deliver to the expected standards.
  • Take into consideration sustainable solutions and best practices to ensure we take responsibility for reducing our impact on the environment and support the company-wide sustainability strategy.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Essential

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience managing operations in a high volume, event-lead industry and/or hospitality.
  • Good knowledge of food and beverages.
  • Excellent communicator with great interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective business and customer relationships.
  • Able to demonstrate a proactive and customer focused approach which is driven by results and and achievement.
  • Good commercial sense with effective negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrable ability to lead a team, managing performance, coaching and handling conflict.
  • Ability to manage time effectively.
  • Good administrative skills and attention to detail.
  • Good working knowledge of current Health and Safety legislation and practical application.
  • Intelligent level of numeracy and literacy.
  • Good organisation and planning skills, and an understanding of the need to forecast and manage stock effectively.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and to work independently.
  • Confident and competent user of MS Office, with the ability to create and manipulate data using Excel spreadsheets.
  • Current full UK driving licence.

 

Desirable

  • Trained and qualified in Health & Safety to IOSH or NEBOSH standard.
  • Operational event experience.
  • Knowledge of a venues ‘premises license’ and any stipulations within the license.
  • Full forklift license.
  • Personal Licence.
